Continuing on our series on Bayesian Methodology, we next have the Bayesian gurus Scott Berry and his partner in statistics, Kert Viele, from Berry Consultants. Scott and Kert will present an online one-hour conversation at 9 am 11 November, specifically on the concept of Bayesian borrowing. If you have heard their podcast In the Interim… you will know they are clear, practical and upbeat speakers with a known love of Bayesian statistics. The draft guidance of the use of Bayesian Methodology released by the FDA earlier this year was a watershed moment, and one that Scott and Kert had been waiting for decades. This is their take on the new guidance, and one not to be missed.
We will have a meeting room available for members who wish to attend the Berry presentation and AGM in person. Scott and Kert will be joining us virtually from the United States, where they are based, and the session will also be available via Teams for members unable to attend in person (please contact apbgsteering@gmail.com for meeting link).
We are currently confirming the venue and will update the invitation with the location details and Teams link once these have been finalized. In the meantime, please treat this invitation as a save-the-date placeholder and accept if you plan to attend
